- Spring through fall
- Chard grown on the farm is "rainbow" chard with a variety of colorful stems, full of nutrients and great steamed or sauteed.
- Best eaten right away, but it can be stored in a plastic bag with holes in the refrigerator for up to 4 days
- Boil washed and trimmed chard for 2 minutes. Then plunge into ice water for 2 minutes. Pack dried chard in freezer bags.
