- Summer through fall
- Broccoli is a flower, it is tender and can be either cooked quickly or eaten raw.
- Best eaten right away, but it can be stored in a plastic bag with holes in the refrigerator for up to one week
- Place broccoli florets into boiling water and blanch for 3 minutes. Then, plunge into ice water for 3 minutes. Pat broccoli dry and place in freezer bags.
