What is a CSA?
Community supported agriculture (CSA), is a mutual partnership between a farmer and a community of supporters who buy shares of the farm's harvest each year. We grow the food and you eat it! A perfect relationship!
The CSA shares are typically paid for in the late winter and early spring. During these months are when most of the operating costs for a farm occur (seeds, fertilizer, potting soil, new equipment purchase and repairs, etc.). The CSA for Mighty Food Farm is 50-60% of the farms annual revenue. Your membership means we can plan on a certain amount of income and you are ensured a steady supply of vegetables throughout the seasons. Our CSA is different from others, because you get to choose what is in your CSA share each week. We love offering our CSA members the ability to choose. Our online ordering system makes it easy to fill your CSA "cart", hit submit, and come to the farm or off-farm pick up site to pick up your CSA share. Being a part of our farm gets you access to Pick Your Own flowers, strawberries, peas, beans, and herbs during the summer months and our farm-store. We love to fee you and hope you will join us!
