Collard Greens
Season:
- Winter through spring
- Collard greens are full of flavor and somewhat bitter.
- Best eaten right away, but it can be stored with a damp paper towel wrapped around them for up to 3 days
- Boil washed and trimmed collard greens for 2 minutes. Then plunge into ice water for 2 minutes. Pack dried collard greens in freezer bags.
